Cemer Children’s Playgrounds

The project proposes flexible play areas that turn children's relationship with play into a journey of spatial discovery, and received an honorable mention in the Cemer Breathing / Breath-Giving Living Spaces Competition in 2020. Set within a wooded area, organically shaped play islands are each distinguished by their own color and play concept. Modular play elements, made up of funnel-shaped pieces, water play features, and climbing and seating units, come together in different combinations to offer children a variety of experiences. Soft surfacing and fluid forms create a safe play environment, while night lighting and a design suited to every season allow the area to be used after dark and throughout the year.
