KİREÇBURNU YK HOUSE

Completed in 2023, Kireçburnu YK House was designed as a retreat for its owner, who lives alone, used during the summer months and chosen as an escape from the city for the rest of the year. Located on the top floor, the loft living space makes the Bosphorus view the defining element of the interior through its large windows and spacious terrace. Skylights in the sloped ceiling bring daylight inside, while wooden columns and beams give the space a warm character. The open kitchen connects to the living area via an island with seating. A concrete-textured fireplace serves as both a focal point and a natural divider between the living and dining areas. At the entrance, a backlit mirror and dark-toned cabinetry create a simple welcoming area, while a guest room allows the owner to host visitors when needed.
